Ethiopian runners capture McDonald’s Half Marathon titles

The winners of the half-marathon were:
Derese Deniboba (left) in the men’s competition
and Alemtsehay Misganaw in the women’s competition.
Both are originally from Ethiopia.

Ethiopians were the victors in this morning’s McDonald’s Half Marathon in Richmond.

Derese Deniboba, 26, won the men’s race with a time of 1:06:50.

Alemtsehay Misganaw, 28, was first in the women’s race with a time of 1:18:34.

One other race has been completed today—the nTELOS 8K. The SunTrust Marathon is still under way.
