HS A State Track Results

Will McLaughlin placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:02.75 in the state Group A track and field meet in Radford. Lebanon won the boys title with 66 points.

In the girls, Jasmine Carighhead of Goochland finished third in the high jump with 5-1. Andrea White of Lancaster won the event with a state record 5-7¾. She also captured the long jump (17-7) and triple jump (35-3).

King William placed second in the 400 relay with a time of 51.47. Goochland’s Samantha Williams finished eighth with 1:04.21 in the 400, and Maria Thompson of Goochland placed seventh with 2:34.91 in the 800. Clarke County won the girls title with 74½ points.
