Taking part in the Fit For Life Kids Challenge program is fun and it’s FREE!!

Simply follow these easy steps:

1. Run!
Run or walk 1 mile every other day. That’s four laps around a regulation track. Or, find a safe place to run in your neighborhood. Color one square each time you complete 1 mile. Click HERE to print out a Running Log to track your progress. (For best results, print on 11 x 14 (Legal size) paper.)

2. Earn!
Kids Challenge runners earn terrific rewards for accomplishing goals. Every five miles, you earn a FREE prizes from the Sports Backers. Just have an adult sign the appropriate sponsor coupon, then trade it in to claim your reward!

A great way to keep motivated is to sign up to participate in the First Market Mile Kids Run on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Not only is the race a ton of fun, it counts towards a mile on your running log!

3. Celebrate!
To complete the Kids Challenge, run all 26 miles, color in the squares and collect your finisher’s medal!

REWARDS

Throughout the Fit For Life Kids Challenge program, participants have the opportunity to earn prizes for every five miles they run. Coupons found in the Running Log include:

FREE Running Gloves. Redeem at Sports Backers Stadium after child has completed 5 miles.
FREE Keychainl. Redeem at Sports Backers Stadium after child has completed 10 miles.
FREE Jump Rope. Redeem at Sports Backers Stadium after child has completed 15 miles.
FREE Pedometer. Redeem at Sports Backers Stadium after child has completed 20 miles.
Kids Challenge finisher’s medal! Redeem at Sports Backers Stadium after child has completed 26 miles.
